  • South African-owned
  • Every word explained, with a say-it guide
The words

Kuier (say it: KAY-er), Genade (say it: chuh-NAH-duh, ch as in loch), Sies (say it: SEES) and Jislaaik (say it: YIS-like), together in one set. Each magnet comes with its meaning and a say-it guide, so everyone in the house can join in. It's a little bit of home for the Saffa (SAF-uh) who's far from it, and a crash course for the Americans who love them.

What you get

Four fridge magnets, one of each word, all in the style you choose: Sunshine, Seaside or Veld (say it: FELT), or Sunny Mix for a bit of everything.

Size & materials

Four flat, square fridge magnets, printed in the USA. Many stainless-steel fridges aren't magnetic, so they may not stick to yours. Each magnet is 3 × 3 in (7.6 × 7.6 cm).

Gift ideas
  • "Your Saffa's (SAF-uh's) first Christmas in America"
  • "Teach your American in-laws to kuier (KAY-er)"
  • A stocking stuffer set to share between siblings
