Who we are

Now-Now Goods (“we”) runs nownowgoods.com. Now-Now Goods is a trading name of Karen van Zyl, a sole proprietor based in South Africa.

Our Information Officer is Karen van Zyl, who you can reach at bob@nownowgoods.com.

What we collect

• Launch list: your email address and your consent to hear from us.
• Messages: anything you send to our email address.
• Basic technical data: standard server logs kept by our web host (for example IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. This site uses no advertising trackers.

Giving us your information is voluntary. If you don’t join the launch list, we simply can’t email you updates.

How we use it

We use your information to email you about the launch, new words and offers you signed up for, and to reply to you. We rely on your consent for launch-list emails, and you can withdraw it at any time. We don’t sell your information.

Who processes it for us

• Our email list provider, MailerLite, which stores your sign-up and sends our emails.
• Our web hosting provider, Xneelo, which hosts this website.
• Orders are handled by the shop platform you buy through (for example Etsy), under its own privacy policy.

Some providers may store data outside your country, including in South Africa, the EU or the US. We only use providers that are bound by data protection laws or agreements giving your information a similar level of protection.

How we protect it

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to keep your information safe, such as using reputable providers and limiting who can access it. If we believe your information has been compromised, we will let you and the Information Regulator know.

Your choices

Every email includes an unsubscribe link. At any time, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent by emailing bob@nownowgoods.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za, or to the data protection authority where you live.

How long we keep it

• Launch list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details.
• Messages: for as long as we need them to deal with your query, then we delete them.
• Server logs: for our web host’s standard retention period, after which they are automatically deleted.
